Strange period of functionality

You, the reader... you'll be reading this after being drawn in by the title of the post. Strange, Functionality. Yup, you read that right... I've been functional for more than a couple of hours at a time. The house is clean, everything is neat, all the washing is done, there's literally nothing for me to do on the maintenance front - I even cooked for a few days, including getting all the groceries in. I think it was around 14 months back when this last happened.

It has continued for almost a week now... I keep on looking around waiting for it to all crash at once, not because I want it to, but... I just don't know.

Autistic and various other neurodivergent people will know the feeling, it's like the eye of the storm, everything is sunny and calm, you're calm, no obvious burnout, no meltdowns - but you can see it in the distance, you know it's coming back. A twitch between your shoulder blades, complete with the urge to run for cover! I'm napping a LOT, every day. Not drinking alcohol, only the odd screaming session at idiots on the road, stuff in work is getting done. The feeling of unease is growing... I don't want to sabotage myself, I really don't.

I'd like to say I'm done with the house, over the last few months, I've been making it green, everywhere real plants, fake plants, it's like walking into welcoming arboreal den, I love it, but hope I can stop before A) I'm broke (lol), and B) there's still living space for me and the cats, plus C) visitors don't walk in and have 'that' 'wow' look, not the good kind.

Maybe it's the green, maybe it's the efforts of the green driving everything else. Is this now a special interest?
